Scrappy Quilting Banner

 Green Linear Novelty Quilt

Here is a simple way to use up leftover fabric.  Cut it into strips, sew them together, and make a linear quilt. You can make it very scrappy, or you can use all of the same color.  The picture below is part of a quilt made from mostly green fabrics.  It also uses novelty prints.

Greens are one of the easiest colors to blend.  Blue is the hardest.  This is a great quilt technique for both new and scrappy quilters.  If you like, you can sew the strips right on the batting and backing, so you quilt as you go - as you attach each strip.
